Terms of service

The deal, in plain language

What Credit Upside is

Credit Upside is an analysis tool. It reads spending data you provide — a CSV you upload, or accounts you link — and estimates how credit card rewards apply to it. Estimates is the operative word: card terms change frequently, our data can lag, and our valuations of points are assumptions you can and should adjust.

What it is not

It is not financial, legal, or tax advice, and we are not a licensed adviser, broker, or bank. Nothing here accounts for your income, credit profile, or circumstances. Decisions about opening cards, moving spending, or carrying balances are yours, and verifying current terms with the issuer before acting is on you.

Your account

  • You're responsible for your password. We store only a cryptographic hash of it and cannot recover it for you — only reset it.
  • You may delete your account at any time from Settings. Deletion disconnects linked banks at the source and erases your stored data. It is immediate and irreversible.
  • We may suspend accounts used to abuse the service — scraping, attacking, or attempting to access other users' data.

Compensation

We may earn a commission when you open a card through certain links. This never affects rankings — the ranking code has no access to which cards pay us, and every paying card is labelled. Details in the advertiser disclosure.

Liability, honestly

The service is provided as-is. We work hard on accuracy and err conservative on purpose, but we do not guarantee any figure on this site, and we are not liable for decisions made from it, to the fullest extent the law allows. If a number matters to a real decision, verify it with the issuer first.

Changes

If these terms change materially, the date above changes and account holders will be told. Continued use after that is acceptance.
